Vicki was the last one from the group of co-workers I’ve mentioned before (‘the Refinery girls’) to have a session with me, and what a lovely way to finish off meeting such a nice group of families! Vicki and her husband Dean were as nice as can be, and their 14-year old son Tyler did remarkably well, considering he was having his picture taken and he was…well, a 14 year-old boy. We met at the local rink/park in downtown Sussex on a lovely Fall evening and took a little walk around looking for different locations. A lot of the leaves had fallen off by this point (being late October), but we still managed to find plenty of colour.
I also want to mention how incredibly well Vicki did; considering she spends most of her time in a mobilized wheelchair and can only stand for a few minutes at a time with help and needs help in and out of her chair, she was a real trooper for me. And Dean was so great at supporting her (literally and figuratively), it was quite special to see (the shots of them together against the building are some of my favourtire couple shots to date…) I even managed to get a mini session in with Tyler on his own, so all in all it was a great shoot!
(And can I just say how the shot above makes me laugh? I told Tyler’s parents to gaze at each other lovingly and for Tyler to seem weirded out/too cool for them. I think he nailed it!)

I have one more session from October (my 10th!), an adorable (and brave) little family. I’ll tell you why when I post…
Until then,
