I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll mention it again: I LOVE seeing my clients more than once. I love seeing little babies grow up, I love seeing families of two becoming families of three (or more!), I love seeing how a couple has changed since their wedding, I love everything about it. So when Laura and Kris contacted me about doing newborn photos for their daughter Hannah, I was so thrilled not only to be able to photograph a sweet newborn girl, but to see one of my 2012 wedding couples again (Laura was actually 8 week pregnant when they got married so we all knew about the little bean ahead of time). I was secretly hoping that they would contact me after the wedding, and lucky for me they did 🙂 Even luckier is that they’ve decided to go with the Baby’s 1st Year package, which means I’ll get to see them several more times over the course of the next year!
Hannah was a beautiful little newborn and she did really well at her first session; she also taught me an important lesson-don’t give up right away if things don’t seem to be going the right way. We had Hannah do a few set ups and then she woke up, so we thought that maybe we were done, but after a few feedings and some rocking/changing, she fell back into an even deeper sleep than before and we were able to do the last 3 set ups, which in the end are my most favourite ones, so I’m glad we didn’t give up! She’s also my first newborn to get the ‘basket’ shot and the doubled over pose, so I was really happy about that…I’m learning more and more at each session and I’m very pleased with that, there’s so much to learn!
You’ll be seeing more of her this summer, but for now, enjoy this adorable little lady!
Back soon to share a gorgeous engagement session!
