This was one of those sessions that I didn’t want to end…after several days of crummy weather the sun finally broke free from the clouds just in time for our shoot (I swear there must be someone looking out for me up there), and I got a see hang out in of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in our little area…so far. Oh, and did I mention that I was photographing an insanely beautiful couple who will be tying the knot in less than a month?
Farrah and Dan’s engagement session was one of those sessions that left me feeling giddy, with my heart fluttering and my breath sighing the entire way home. Everything was beautiful (the light, oh the light!) and all was right with the world. It’s really hard to describe and might sound a bit odd, but I think that anyone who truly loves what they do can understand what I mean about the ‘high’ you get from working at your passion. I haven’t worked in many jobs that give me this feeling so I know that despite the crazy amount of work, the doubts, the fears, the unknown, I need to keep doing this beautiful thing called photography, because I can’t imagine doing anything else, especially on evenings like that.
So, Farrah and Dan, I will simply say THANK YOU. Thank you for letting me photograph your love, and I can’t wait to do it again!
Please enjoy a few of my favourites from their session below (there were many many more but I had to narrow it down!) Isn’t this farm the most gorgeous place ever? I’d live there in a heartbeat.
Sigh, sigh, flutter, flutter.
Have a great and beautiful day everyone!
