Ok, I will warn you now; this post is BIG. When I went to narrow down my favourite wedding images of 2013 I started out reasonably well but as I got more and more into it, I just could not narrow it down any more! It was an amazing year for me, I got to photograph 13 beautiful and unique couples, in every type of location (woods, fields, orchards, beaches, cities, gardens, farms, churches, camps, halls, hotels, you name it!) It was a year of learning and growing my style and discovering how I want to move to forward when it comes to wedding photography and my philosophy behind it (basically: I do it for the client, not fame or recognition or my own ego, it’s all about servitude in my mind.) 2014 is shaping up to be a great year as well, and I’m ready to jump back in to that crazy time between June and November called ‘wedding season’.
(Please note that these photos are not in any particular order of preference or wedding-day timeline, there is no chronological order to them, getting ready shots are mixed in with reception shots and details with bride and groom portraits…I just didn’t have time to put them all into some sort of order!)
And even though it’s virtually impossible to pick just ONE single image as my favourite of 2013, this shot of Farrah and Dan from back in June definitely has a spot in my heart, there’s just something about it that I find so GORGEOUS (Farrah certainly fits that description!)
