30. Thirty sweet, tiny, squishy, flaky, gassy, sleepy, coo-ey, chubby, bendy, stubborn, funny, pretty, unique, pouty, and perfect little beings came to see me in my studio in 2016, and I couldn’t be more grateful. As I mentioned in my previous blog post, 2016 was a big year of inner turmoil and change for me, but one thing remained constant, and that was my love for newborn photography. Despite wanting to change many things about my business, working with new families was something I knew I wanted to continue, and so I’m super excited for all the new little ones who will be coming to see me this year! I want to continue to grow in my skills (there is still SO much to learn with this type of photography, which is what makes it so exciting!) and I want to continue providing new mamas and papas with a calm, safe and rewarding newborn experience.
Speaking of parents, 2016 was also the year where I really started to grow in my newborn family-posed images, and they have quickly become some of my favourites. Seeing a couple become 3, or a family of 3 becoming 4, or 4 become 5, etc, is so special and I absolutely LOVE it when parents want to get involved or have their older children involved (as chaotic as that may be)! As cute as the baby poses are, as adorable as the props, the colours, etc, the photos of you with your little ones, so tiny in your hands, are the ones I know you will cherish in 1, 5, 10 years down the road <3
