On a gorgeous, hot sunny evening, I drove out to a tiny country church, unused for 364 days of the year, for a very special and beautiful gathering of friends and family to celebrate Karen and Rubin’s beginning into marriage. Lit by kerosene lamps and adorned with wild lupins, this old church became the gathering place for what felt like a very old fashioned and traditional country wedding. Afterwards, everyone remained in the churchyard for a simple picnic while sitting on pews and we took photos in the stunning surrounding landscapes. It was stress-free, wholesome and a real pleasure to be a part of.
(This was what I call an ‘intimate’ wedding-with reduced coverage-which I offer during the off-season or on weekdays during the wedding season only; if you are planning a smaller, intimate celebration on a non-Saturday and are interested, please get in touch!)
Couple: Karen McKellar and Rubin Manning
