It’s hard to describe how unique and wonderful Jen and Luke’s wedding was on Minister’s Island, a place I had never been to before and could barely believe was real. After getting ready in a gorgeous suite at The Algonquin, they had a late morning ceremony with a picnic/lawn games reception in the afternoon, all based around the tide schedule (if you’ve never been to Minister’s Island, the only way on and off the island is by an ocean path that gets covered at high tide, essentially leaving you stranded). They rented out the entire island and as a photographer I honestly felt overwhelmed with the possibilities! But in the end it didn’t matter, what mattered was photographing the many sweet interactions between Jen and her family, between Luke and his friends, between everyone gathered on this tiny picturesque island to celebrate these two wonderful-and unique-humans. The day was full of traditions, love, personal details and many, many smiles. I felt insanely lucky to be chosen as their photographer.
